AKARTA, 12 December 2022 – The 12th issue of the ASEAN Economic Integration Brief (AEIB) was released today.

The issue features a special article by the Secretary-General of ASEAN Dato Lim Jock Hoi wherein he shared his reflections on the ASEAN economic integration throughout his five-year tenure. He also shared his views for ASEAN’s future, highlighting the importance of being agile, responsive, and adaptive to stay ahead of and remain relevant in the changing global economy.

In addition, Cambodia’s Minister of Commerce and Chairperson of the ASEAN Economic Ministers 2022 Pan Sorasak shared his views on the key progress and achievements in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) this year. He highlighted Cambodia’s vision towards an AEC that is resilient, forward-looking, cohesive, and innovative.

The latest issue also features an overview of the regional economic outlook, the latest updates on the AEC, and the latest key economic indicators relevant to the region.
